An article written by Forbes titled, “Unless We Future-Proof Healthcare, By 2025, 47% Of Healthcare Workers Will Leave The Profession,” demonstrates the current reality of healthcare.
47% of healthcare workers is a staggering statistic.
But if you currently work as a nurse practitioner, you might agree it is not far off.
The past three years have been incredibly difficult for all healthcare providers.
And so many APRNs are struggling with nurse practitioner burnout.
As nurse practitioners, we constantly put others needs in front of our own.
Our workday is filled with caring for everyone but ourselves.
The current roles and responsibilities of nurse practitioners continue to grow as the support diminishes.
The modern healthcare system creates a lot of challenges for nurse practitioners. Between the push to see more patients (and sicker patients in a shorter amount of time), adhering to increasingly strict insurance guidelines, and decreasing attention to work-life balance, nurse practitioners are struggling.
Many clinics, hospitals, and healthcare institutions are trying to function while short-staffed. There is a lack of medical assistants (MAs), nurses, even front office staff. This creates added roles that many nurse practitioners have to take on themselves. Nurse practitioners sacrifice their own time and energy to complete these duties.
Nurse practitioners spend more time at work (or bringing charts home) and less time with their families. This creates a work-life imbalance that puts nurse practitioners at a significant risk factor for burnout.
But imagine if you could be an accomplished nurse practitioner AND feel fulfilled.
Imagine if you could create a better work-life balance.
Imagine if you could spend more time at home and less time at work.
Imagine if you could rediscover the reason why you became a nurse practitioner.
